Player Development Program (PDP)

Player Development Program (PDP)

Washington East SC Player Development Program’s (PDP) primary objective is to introduce U9 - U10 players to the basic technical skills and training habits required for playing competitive soccer. While there is increased competition, our emphasis is on developing complete and confident players who are not afraid to take risks. The format of PDP encourages players to master ball-handling techniques and individual player creativity in a fun, yet educational environment.

When are tryouts?

There are no tryouts for the PDP. There are evaluations days and not cuts. Players will be placed based on talent, personalities and commitment level. Current teams are welcome.

What ages are teams formed at?

We form PDP teams starting U9-U10 (Birth year 2014 - 2013). The number of teams formed is determined by the pool of players that attend evaluation days.

The Club relies on our Area Coordinators and volunteer coaches to make the Washington East SC PDP program successful. If you are interested in applying to be a PDP Coach please contact us at: [email protected] or [email protected]

Each PDP team has a parent volunteer to act as the team manager. If you are interested in learning more about this role, please contact Kate Green or visit the Manager Page.
